Kathryn Morrison, President & CEO
Kathryn Morrison is founder and president of SunStar Strategic. Kathryn enjoyed a career in television news for 12 years as an anchor and reporter in Louisiana and Virginia and as a producer with CNN in Atlanta. In the late 1980s, Kathryn served as the director of public information services at the Investment Company Institute. A native of Austin, Texas, Kathryn received her B.A. from Baylor University.
Kathryn is a member of Vistage, the world’s largest CEO organization.

Robert (Bob) Brummond is a contributor to Alternative Matters. He spent 30 years with a Fortune 500 company. He headed various product groups at the U.S. Filter Division of Vivendi, where he worked with foreign ministries developing some of the world’s largest water and waste water systems. Brummond holds several patents for work in these industries. He also has a strong background in product development, product management and sales.

Katie Bird is the editor of Alternative Matters and Editorial Director of SunStar, assisting with the writing and management of the blog’s content. Her background includes experience in marketing, communications and journalism, as well as bolstering clients’ presence in the marketplace via social media. Katie received her M.A. in Public Communication from American University and her B.A. in English/Creative Writing from Sweet Briar College, where she graduated cum laude.

Milin Iyer, Senior Account Executive
Milin joined the SunStar team with a strong background in business development and marketing, as well experience in energy and power distribution. Previously, he worked as a business development manager for an international trade and development company, dealing with manufacturing companies. Prior to this, he developed power engineering knowledge while working for an engineering firm, where he coordinated projects with various energy utility companies.
Milin received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and has an MBA from the George Washington University in Washington, DC with concentrations in finance and international business.
